Ne ut qui millia annorum victurus sit; fatum impendet; dum vivis, dum licet, fac bonus fias.

만 년 동안이나 살 수 있는 것처럼 행동하지 말라. 숙명이 다가오고 있다. 살아있는 동안, 그대에게 허락된 동안, 올바른 일들을 행하라.

Do not act as if you were going to live ten thousand years. Death hangs over you. While you live, while it is in your power, be good.
